Tight Spike Stands Alone
While there are a few alternative Urethane Systems offered by other companies for loose spikes, Tight Spike is superior because it is a balanced low viscosity system. Other polyol compounds are significantly thicker than the corresponding isocyanate compounds which increases the probability of off-ratio mixing. In some cases, attempts are made to minimize this occurrence in other tie plugging units by heating the polyol to a higher temperature than the isocyanate. Tight Spike’s balanced low viscosity allows it to be applied more reliably at safer equal temperatures in tie pluggers and with more consistency in hand held caulking units compared to all other products.
